Why believe in Jesus?

Why believe in Jesus? There are those who do not believe that Jesus arose from the dead. St. Paul explains:
“…if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are also found to be false witnesses of God because we witnessed of God that He raised Christ….
If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied. …Why am I in peril every hour? …I die every day! What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die” (1Cor 15:14-32).

Christian witnesses of Jesus and his resurrection are persecuted, tortured and martyred. They could have avoided torture by simply claiming Jesus was only a prophet. Instead they refused to recant that Jesus was the Messiah, the only Son of God.It does not make sense that so many would die to defend a false claim for which they had nothing to gain and their lives to lose.

Belief in a loving God is supported by our need to love and be loved without measure. The existence of an afterlife is supported by irrefutable Near Death Experiences.
Physics, mathematics, and logic lead to God. Atheism and materialism are irrational and fruitless. Suffering can be transformed into joy and Evil is in reality the absence of Good.
